Our music could be described as Retro-Rock. We don't try to imitate today's trends, but with due respect we draw influences all the way from the 70's, mixing them with the sounds of the new millennium.     We've been gigging frequently here and there in Finland during the past years. The Whipping Post gigs are a tasteful combination of rock classics and original material. Our delights have included a number of collaboration gigs with the Finnish harp virtuoso Pepe Ahlqvist - with Whipping Post as the back-up band.   June 2001 saw the release of a Mellow Records / Colossus production "Tuonen tytar - A tribute to Finnish progressive", to which also Whipping Post contributed one song - Kaamos / When Shall We Know.
