The Pegasos Theatre, officially called Lasten ja nuorten kuva- ja esittävän taiteen kannatusyhdistys ry – Garantiföreningen för bild- och utövande konst för barn och unga (Support association for visual and performing arts for youth and children) was founded in Vaasa in 1996 to provide youth and children in Vaasa and in the surrounding region with interartistic visual and performing arts of high quality. Founding members were sculptor Paula Blåfield, industrial designer Eija Leinonen, project manager Paula Viertola-Jern, and producer Tiina Katajisto.

The association produces annually two art as experience exhibitions with guided tours in both Finnish and Swedish. Workgroups consist of different kinds of artist best suitable for each project. Children participate in the exhibitions and performances using imagination plays, for example. Events often include music and stories.
