Muskaat is a sensitive and dignified dame who has already come of age. Though you could suppose she's younger than she really is especially when she makes a number of something that should be reacted to with the calmness of an old and experienced horse. Physically Muska is in good condition too, although her feet do not take very much strain any more. That's why Muska is nowadays mainly a "hobby horse", doing dressage and hacking.
As a typical mare, Muska don't like to be made too much advances to and can seem quite a spitfire when groomed. After all she's smart and easy to handle - as long as you know how to avoid situations that she thinks are extremely dangerous... When being ridden, Muska has both her lazy days, when particularly dressage doesn't inspire her at all, and her lively "arab days", when she can be a real handful especially on a hack!
Muska likes to jump quite low obstacles but when approaching 100 cm she often chickens out. After all she's not being jumped very much any more. Recently she has made a lot of progress in dressage, but unfortunately when you ride her through the gate of the competition arena there isn't much hope that she would have any kind of forward-goingness compared to practising at home or warming up (with a dressage whip...). Muska loves hacking and is really pleased to get to the hacking paradise of Yyteri on the summer and Christmas breaks. The winters she spends in Tammela where her owner Laura is studying to qualify as a horse agrologist.
