Napsu is ultimately sensitive and lively Finnish mare. She is kind and nice by nature but quite a fussy girl whose train of thought isn't always that easy to follow... Most of the time Napsu concentrates on doing, not thinking!
Napsu isn't an easy one to ride because besides her sensitivity she is also a little spooky and very quick on her movements. The rider must watch out, that all of a sudden the horse won't head for one direction and the rider for the other! When jumping (even when it comes to 20 cm poles on the ground) Napsu goes at a breakneck speed ;o) with her going looking quite wild. On the other hand she's about to blossom into rather a dashing dressage horse, who doesn't have to shame her movements a bit compared to any Finnish horse competing on national level. However there is still a little to learn when it comes to mastering one's nerves... But no doubt that Napsu will calm down some day and challenge the present masters of the dressage arenas!
For winter 2001-2002 Napsu moved out of Castello to be ridden by Katja Koskenvaara, while her owner Marina stays in Lapland.
