Ambient unnamed remix kit ========================= Author: Sami "Some-E" Jumppanen Date: 29-Sep-2003 INDEX ----- 0. Disclaimer 1. Files 2. MIDI-channels and their usage 3. Hardware used in the original song 0. Disclaimer ------------- MED, MID and WAV files have been played back without problems in Nullsoft Winamp 2.91. However, the author will not guarantee that any of the files are compatible with any software. MED file input requires a Winamp plugin in_med.dll. You may or may not find it from the Internet. The plugin will play the original samples and MIDI instruments through the default MIDI- device in your Windows. Note that different versions of the in_med.dll exist for Winamp versions 2 and 3. The original song can be listened for reference at http://www.mikseri.net/mixsa Everything (c) 1996 - 2003 by Sami "Some-E" Jumppanen. Files -------- 1) Ambient_unnamed.MID Original OctaMED music module (type MMD1). Created with OctaMED 4.00g on Amiga. 2) Ambient_unnamed.MID MED file converted to standard MIDI file 1 with MidIt! Original samples are given the free MIDI channels beginning from MIDI channel 1. 3) Ambient_unnamed_samples.zip Samples used in the original MED file. 8-bit WAV files. 4) Some-E_DR-550_samples.zip All drum samples from Boss Dr-550 (the way I use it). The samplekit contains the drums/percussion used on MIDI channel 10. Not all of these samples are used in the original MED/MID file. I don't have a MIDI-map file for you, but the filenames contain the MIDI notenumber for each sample. For example DR550_CRSH_38.WAV is to be played with MIDI note number 38 (decimal). 5) Some-E_DR-550.SF2 The same samples as above in SoundFont file. You may try this instead of the individual WAV files. 2.
