Taipale has been devoted to farmhouse accommodation and catering for groups since the 1970s. In recognition of its first-rate B&B, meal and lodging services, the farm was awarded a national certificate in 1995.
If genuine Finnish food is what you are looking for, Taipale is highly recommended. Livestock is reared biologically on the farm. Meat as well as many other ingredients are Taipale’s own, pure produce, and the cooking is healthy and original.

Taipale makes an excellent setting for parties and meetings. In the main building seventy dining guests can be served at a time, and, during warm weather, a summer-house has seats for another fifty.
As for lodging, the farm offers the options of self-catering cottages (seven in all) and cabins adjoining the farmyard (twenty beds, only in summer). Each cottage has its own sauna and boat; those who choose to stay on the farm are welcome to use the host's lakeside sauna. English, Swedish and German spoken.
