5.7.2004 We went to see Viraton's offspring. Photos of 4 weeks old Kuutuulen J-litter...
26.6.2004 I have been busy and havent't written anything in english... as the matter of fact life in Valleygirl's goes so nicely that there has been no news. But now I added Summer 2004 page to Photo gallery.

Viraton has got more offspring... his fiance Kuutuulen Hemara gave birth to a beautiful litter - 3 black with white females and one male and one white female - on 7th of June. Kitten grow fast and growing fast...

We have plans to make kittens with Tassu, and now we are waiting when Tassu comes to heat, then she is going to visit EC Sada Mess Boy Manuel (red mackerel tabby male). Both parents are ready and tested (ultrasound from heart is done to ensure that neither of them are HCM-carries, both of parents have A-blood group, although Tassu would have had B-group as well as her father has B-group and Tassu's mother, Deniz is a carrier of B-group, FeLV/FIV tests made etc).

7.9.2003 Tassu & Tossu had their first show in Open class. Take a look at show results. Both kittens behaved very nicely although Tassu did not like travelling at all, and Tossu did not like the travelling box at all but slept then there quietly the whole journey.
A week ago we saw also Termelli, and you'll find some photos of him at Pictures of T-litter.
30.7.2003 We built a new enclosure for our cats, a story about building is in finnish but included with many pictures... I have also added new pictures of almost all of our cats, so take a look at least pictures of Tassu, Tossu, Tuittu, Viraton and pictures from other cats.
13.7.2003 I got a really nice picture of Umra!
9.7.2003 Some new photos of Vildiz (take a look at Photos of XV-litter), Umra (take a look at photos of U-litter), Termelli (take a look at Photos of T-litter), Sari, Lulla and Tossu
15.6.2003 Kittens had a show day. They have grown up, their behaviour was much different than last time. Tassu did not like to be on my hands or outside the cage, Tossu was very afraid, but behaved very nicely.

Tassu's judgement (Tossus judgement was written in finnish).

26.5.2003 Umra's owner remembered us with photos. Take a look!
23.5.2003 New pictures of Kalle, Tuittu (how she takes care of kittens), Tossu, Tassu and Deniz
17.5.2003 Tassu and Tossu had a "learning day" in a cat show.  The drive to a show place was not very nice (especially Tassu cried the first 100km very sadly). Tossu took the show very calm, Tassu thought that there is not anything to do in a cage. But the judgement both took really nicely. Only Tassu became a little nervous when the judge chose his nominates, as Tassu had been out of cage for a very long time waiting the selection of nominates. We heard that she would have to be groomed much better, and that's why she was not suitable for nomination. We did not really find out what we should be done, but perhaps it was some white hair in her belly...

Tossu's and Tassu's judgements added to their show result pages.

4.5.2003 Two new pictures of Termelli
21.4.2003 Spring has come, and our time goes nowadays totally with having walks with our cats... even Tassu has learned how lovely it is to go to a walk (and Kalle cries out all the time, starting when we wake up..., also Tuittu, Viraton, Sari, Lulla and also Deniz every now and then like to go to a walk and also Silva likes it).

Some new pictures : Tuittu, Sari, Deniz, Tassu and Tossu.

11.4.2003 Take a look at new pictures from Kalle, Viraton, Tassu and Tossu.
5.4.2003 Valleygirl's kittens and their dam headed to Helsinki to a cat show. Deniz, Tossu and Tassu got company also from Tohma and Tokat, so quite a good representation of Valleygirl's this time... Tassu did not like travelling alone. When the return drive started, Tassu cried very loadly in her travel cage. She settled down only after she got company of Tossu in the same box. And also in the show, she did not like to stay alone in the show cage, and when we put her in Tossu's cage, she calmed down. Both Tossu, Tassu and also Tokat took the show nicely, only Tohma did not like showlife at all.

You'll find pictures of Tokat and Tohma in Pictures of T-litter, and show results from Helsinki (only Tossu's judgement was written in english).

26.2.2003 We wish you all welcome to new Valleygirl's site. And hopefully we have more time to update news more often now than lately... But from this page you will find information of what's new in our site and also other news from Valleygirl's.
Beginning of February, 2003 Tassu and Tossu got ill:
Day 1: Kittens tored a  carton box totally and in the evening when I took Tossu away from the table, she meowed and seemed to feel tender from her stomach or legs. We thought that she has eaten carton.
Day 2: Call to our vet, no available time... but instructions to give paraffine oil to help carton to come out... Some hours after that Tassu and Tossu are playing together and Tassu runs under a sofa. But she can't come away from there, she only cries loudly there. When Heikki reaches her, he sees that Tassu can't move herself at all. Now we had to find a vet... and found a vet who could see what's wrong with Tassu.  Tassu still could not move.  X-rays were taken but no fractures.
Day 3: We hear the results from bloodtests, which tell that the kittens suffer from too low calsium, and too high phosforus level. So, the treatment is to change their diet from raw meat to quality kitten food. But it's easier said than done, as the kittens are not willing to eat anything else than meat. Tassu is still unable to even change her position and now also Tossu limps her front leg.  Kittens are feed with a sprayer.
Day 4: Tassu have walked a little (sleeps on a different box...) but in the evening she does not move at all. Still feeding with a sprayer.
Day 5: Tassu was waiting us behind  a door when we came home, but sleeping on a floor. But great, she has walked a bit... and still forced feeding...
Day 6: Tossu tastes food herself... it's a beginning...
Day 7: Tassu walks more and more easily, but Tossu limps her leg more. But they have started to eat their food. Soon things look better and better...

Now two weeks from the accident (or illness), we can't notice any problems with Tassu anymore, Tossu still sometimes limps. But nowadays they are so lively that they seem to be OK.

25.1.2003 T-kittens had their first show. Tossu's judgement was written in finnish, but read Tossus's judgement from her own show result page.
