"Keke" Keijo Erik Rosberg

Born 06.12.1948 in Stockholm, Sweden. Father  veterinary Lars Rosberg. Mother Lea. Sister Seija. Parents drove rallyecars in fifties and father was in the leading group of first F Karting drivers in Finland. Married since 1983 to german Sina. Their son Nico drives nowadays F Karting cars in Italy and France with finnish licence. Lives in Monte Carlo.

 

1965 Formula Karting in Finland with Dart Parilla 100 cc. Third in finnish championhip.

1966 F K Finnish champion with Tecno.

1967 F K Finnish and Scandinavian champion with Tecno. Third in Swedish Grand Prix

1968 F K Second in Finnish championship.

1969 Army.

1970 F K Finnish champion. Fifth in World Championship race in Paris.

1971 F K Second in Finnish championship.

1972 Formula Vee 1300 class in Finland with his own Veemax Mk IV B car (ex Lasse Lincoln). Third in championship. Scandinavian championship fourth.

1973 Formula Vee 1300 class in with his own Hansen Mk IV B Karringer car (ex Tommy Brorsson). Finnish, Scandinavian and European champion. 15 wins.

1974 Formula Super Vee 1600 class with works Kaimann car. Third in European series and second in Castrol GTX series. Five wins. Three races in Formula Vee class. Two wins and one second place.

1975 Formula Vee 1600 Super class with Kaimann Haidegger and Supernoca cars. Nine wins and wo third places. German champion. Castrol GTX champion. Fifth in European series. One win in F Ve 1300 class with Kaimann Karringer car.

1976 Formula 2 class in TOJ team of Jorgen Obermoser. One win and one second place. One race in F 3 class and one win.  One race with VW Scirocco car. 18. place.

1977 Formula 2 class in the team of Fred Opert (CDN). Car Chevron B 40.

1978 Formula 1 class in Theodore Ford Cosworth team. The car was built by RALT factory of Ron Tauranac. One win at Silverstone outside WC.  Rosberg drove even ATS Ford Cosworth and Wolf Ford Cosworth F 1 cars. No points. Formula 2 class with Fred Operts Chevron B 42 car. Fifht in series. Formula Pacific class with Chevron Hart car. Tasman champion. Formula  Atlantic class with Chevron B 45 car. Runner up   in series.

1979 Formula 1 class in Wolf Ford Cosworth team. No points. Formula 2 class with March 792 BMW car. 12. place in series. CanAm series with Spyder NF 11 car. Fourth in series.

1980 Formula 1 class in Fittipaldi Ford Cosworth team of brasilian brothers Emerson and Wilson Fittipaldi. 10. in series. Two races in CanAm. 8. place in series. One second place in races.

1981 Formula 1 class in Fittipaldi Ford Cosworth team with Chico Serra (BR). No points. Chevrolet Camaro at Ahvenisto (FIN). Second place. Ford Escort at Mantorp Park (S). Third place.

1982 Formula 1 class in Williams Ford Cosworth team with Mario Andretti, Carlos Reutemann and Derek Daly. Race number 6. WORLD CHAMPION. Only one win (CH). Three seconds and two third places. One pole. One third place with BMW M 1 car in Diepholtz (D). Chevrolet Camaro at Ahvenisto (FIN)  - retired. Fod Capri at Nurburgring (D) - retired. BMW 528 at Monthlery (F) - retired.

1983 Formula 1 class in Williams team. Fifth in championship. Three wins, two seconds and one third place. Four poles. Visited german sportscars with a Porsche 956 car. One third place at Nurburgring. Two wins at Ahvenisto with

1984 Formula 1 class in Williams Honda team with Laffite. 8. place in championship. One win (US Dallas). One second place. Raceweight in Rio 67,8 kg. Visited Formula Tasman class in Australian GP with Ralt RT 4 car. Second place after Roberto Moreno. Group C sportscars at Norisring with Porsche 956 B car. Fourth place.

1985 Formula 1 class in Willimas Honda team with Nigel Mansell. Third in championship. Two Gp ins (US-Detroit, Aus). Two polesand three fastets laps. Raceweight in Rio 68,3 kg.

1986 Formula 1 class in McLaren TAG Porsche team. Teammate Alain Prost. Sixth in championship. One second place. One pole. Fifth at Ahvenisto in rallye-racing event.

1989 Touring cars in Francorchamps 24 heures with a belgian Ferrari Mondial car. Manager of Mika Hakkinen and  JJ Lehto.

1990 Sportscars in Peugeot 905 team. Manager of Mika Hakkinen and JJ Lehto.

1991 Sportscars in Peugeot team. 13. place. Two wins.   Manager of Mika Hakkinen and JJ Lehto.

1992 DTM class in Germany with Mercedes Benz 190 E 2.5-16 car of AMG team. Fifth in championship. One win at Wunstorf. Manager of Mika Hakkinen, Manuel Reuter and JJ Lehto.

1993 DTM class in Germany with Opel Calibra of Team Joest. Only one race in Hockenheim. Manager of Mika Hakkinen, Manuel Reuter and JJ Lehto.

1994 DTM series in Germany with Opel Calibra of Team Joest. 14. place in series.  One third place. Manager of Mika Hakkinen, Manuel Reuter  and JJ Lehto.

1995 Owner of Opel Team Rosberg in Germany. Drove self and his teammate was Klaus Ludwig. 23. place in championship. Nordic Rallye in Finland With old F Group Ford Escort.  Manager of Mika Hakkinen and JJ Lehto.

1996 Nordic Rallye in Finland with old F Group Ford Escort. Owner of Opel Team Rosberg in Germany. ITC series. Manager of Mika Hakkinen and JJ Lehto.

1997 Owner of Team Rosberg. STW series in Fermany. Drivers Maassen and Asch. Manager of Mika Hakkinen and JJ Lehto.
